The classic animated series is brought to life. Charli D’Amelio, and Mark Ballas dressed as Marge and Homer Simpson for their Disney+ Night performance on Dancing With the Stars.
“Mark that I am telling you, this will soon be a sensation,” judge Derek Hough said about dancing to Simpsons the theme tune in the Monday, episode on October 10. Len Goodman however was all positive remarks to make concerning the 18 year old TikTok influencer’s performance. “I did not like it, but I liked it. I loved it. It was very tight and held all in one. It was packed with wit and character. Marge, you’re amazing,” he said.
In a taped package in which D’Amelio was featured, she showed Ballas 36, a scene from her appearance as a guest for”The Simpsons,” a popular sitcom that has been running for years. “I was able to appear in an episode, and it was a great experience,” she said. Although she is a huge avid fan of the show taking on her role as the Simpson matriarch’s shoes was a bit of certain issues to those who are a social media guru.
“Not that I’m learning about a brand new kind of jazz, but I’m doing it while wearing Marge Simpson’s hairstyle,” she said. The Connecticut native wore the character’s massive blue hairstyle to the program. “I’m slightly anxious about my wig during the show,” she admitted, noting, “I’m gonna have to start putting on hair before.” A former competitive dancer revealed to cohost Alfonso Ribeiro of her blue hairstyle: “It’s not heavy which is great, but it’s a bit tight. There are about 300 bobby pins on my head at the moment.”
Despite the concerns of D’Amelio the hairpiece remained in place throughout the show which is why she as well Ballas were awarded a total score of 36. They were tied for the top spot with Gabby Windey, Val Chmerkovskiy as well as Wayne Brady and Witney Carson. However, prior to the judges’ feedback was given, Tyra Banks apologized to the creator of the content for an earlier mistake.
“Now Charli, last week … I have called you and your husband Landon Barker with the name Logan.” It was the D’Amelio presenter drew her hands towards Banks 48 which was in fact reversed. “OK I’ve just did it in reverse. What’s wrong in this? Why can’t I find this?” the America’s Next Top Model former contestant answered.
Banks later addressed Barker 19 directly. “Hello, Landon. I am so sorry. Your performer was amazing this evening … It is my pleasure to am sorry for the second time,” she said. The California native who was within the crowd was smiling and laughing. D’Amelio was, for her part replied, “all good.”
The Charli against. Dixie star, who announced her love for Barker during July also had other adored ones at the event for Disney+ night. “The folks who helped me learn jazz and my local dance instructors are here,” she told Ribeiro who is 51. “That is very important for me because they arrived] to Connecticut.”
The influencer also shared with that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alumni what it was like to see her mother, Heidi D’Amelio who is getting close behind her at the top of the board. “I’m extremely happy for her. … I think it’s pleasing to see her appear at ease and feel like a shining star,” Charli replied. “That’s the person I think she is, and that’s what she is for me.”
