In shocking loss, Buccaneers lose to Panthers Tom Brady

Three quarters went by without a score for the Bucs. PJ Walker threw two touchdowns.

The Carolina Panthers’ 21-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was the most shocking of the season.

Brady may have rushed for 290 yards on 32-for-50, but the Bucs could not find the end zone against the Carolina defense. The Panthers kept them scoreless up until the fourth quarter when Tampa Bay scored on a field goal.

This is Brady’s first losing season since 2002, when he lost seven of his first seven games. The Bucs are now 3-4.

The game began with seven punts total, and neither team was able to score any offensive successes. The Panthers’ quarterback PJ Walker led the charge and got things done.

The Panthers were without All-Pro runningback Christian McCaffrey, for the first time since the blockbuster deal with the San Francisco 49ers a few days back. But Walker and the rest used the opportunity to prove that everyone was wrong.

This was in the form a 20-yard touchdown pass from DJ Moore to DJ Moore, the top receiver of the team, to make it 7-0.

In the second half, as the Bucs struggled to turn the ball over on downs and continued to struggle, D’Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard, Panthers’ running backs, made back-to-back plays that resulted in a touchdown. Foreman was the first to rush for 60 yards, helping the Panthers get within scoring distance. Hubbard ran 17 yards to score the touchdown, making it 14-0

Tampa Bay would drive 14 plays, which was the longest drive of all the day. However, it scored a field goal after Carolina had given them three chances to score at the Carolina eight-yard line.

Tommy Tremble scored the backbreaking touchdown. He broke through the Tampa Bay secondary to score on a 29-yard pass by Walker. It made it 21-3.

Walker ended the game with 177 yards in the air, going 16-for-22 and scoring two touchdowns. Hubbard ran for 63 yards with nine touches, and Foreman ran for 118 yards in 15 carries. Hubbard was second at rushing with 63 yards.

Brady was once again the top target with Mike Evans, who had nine receptions for 96 yard.

After losing their previous two games, the Bucs will travel back to Tampa Bay to face Baltimore Ravens on Thursday.

The Panthers will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, another NFC South team.
