Elton John calls Jerry Lee Lewis a “groundbreaking” musician.
The controversial singer passed away from natural causes at 87 in the home he shared with his family located in DeSoto County, Mississippi, and Elton has been on his social networks to show heartfelt thanks to the “Great Balls Of Fire’ singer.
In a comment on Instagram, Elton said, “Without Jerry Lee Lewis, I would not be who I am today. He was groundbreaking, exciting, and he pulverized the piano.”. A brilliant singer too. All the memories of rock ‘n’ roll are thanks to you and your trailblazing inspiration. @jerryleelewisthekiller #RIP (sic)”
Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones has also pay tribute to the pioneer of rock and roll.
A Twitter user wrote: “R.I.P. JLL the KILLER – What a man.
Sir Ringo Starr took to microblogging platforms to pay his tribute to himself.
Ringo who was a member of The Beatles The band’s singer wrote on the internet: “God bless Jerry lee Lewis peace and love to all his family Ringo. (sic)”
Zach Farnum, a rep for the legendary star, has previously confirmed that Lewis passed away from natural causes in his home.
Zach told us: “Judith, his seventh wife, was at his side as he passed from the home he shared at Desoto County, Mississippi, just south of Memphis.

The “High School Confidential rock star started their career back in 1950s and was able to enjoy huge success as rock and roll singer as well as later in the country music world.
Lewis – – whose death was reported incorrectly by some media outlets the previous Wednesday (10.26.22) earned four Grammy awards throughout his career.
He was also admitted to the Country Music Hall of Fame as well as The Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame.
