The feud started when Laura Sanko named McGregor one of the top five active UK in the UFC, even though McGregor is Irish.

While Sanko quickly corrected the error, the Irish comedian joked that the UK "could have this lad," referring to McGregor. Conor McGregor was enraged by the remark.

He made fun of Gallagher's mental health struggles in a series of profane tweets that he later deleted. Many people were offended by McGregor's insults to the comedian.

However, one user pointed out that Gallagher was the first to fire, to which 'The Notorious' MMA star responded: "[What Gallagher said] is one of the most heinous insults an Irishman can receive. He is a swindler.

McGregor responded as follows: What's the point? He tried to publicly rally people against me with a disgraceful insult that came out of nowhere, all while being a press advocate for mental health.
