LeBron James Shares What He Said To His Team Before LA Lakers' Stunning Victory Without Anthony Davis

On Sunday, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers handed the Washington Wizards their 10th consecutive defeat.

When James had the rock in his hands with 17 seconds remaining and the score knotted 117-117, it came to an end in the most tumultuous way imaginable.

James attempted to squeak a ball to Lonnie Walker, who had a clear lane to attack the hoop, while being surrounded by two Wizards players at halfcourt.

The goal was to prevent the Wizards from getting the missed shot, so James made an effort to remain patient with the shot clock off.

Prior to sprinting for the ball and finding Thomas Bryant at the dunker's position as the Wizards' defence broke down, LeBron James nearly handed the ball over.

James said that he correctly pointed out the Wizards' defensive trapping tactics after the game.

"I said in the huddle, 'they're gonna trap me so make y'all selves available," said James (via Talkin NBA), Be patient because we want the last shot.' !!!

The Lakers were sh fortunate because if they had lost, it would have been another game where they had a double-digit lead.

However, they were given a break that night by the basketball gods, as sloppy play ultimately resulted in a 119-117 victory at home. LA has now improved this season, standing at 13-16.
